Howdy all!

It’s been a while since my last post, I have been indisposed for the last few weeks as I was out of the country. Today is Friday the 13th!

So tonight I will be piloting my brother Izzet Tutelage deck as I am in between standard decks and he is currently playing EDH. GOING TO PREFACE THIS WITH A WARNING. I HAVE NEVER PLAYED THIS DECK BEFORE. I AM USED TO SWINGING FACE AND MAKING THE BEATS. But I digress. So let us begin!

Round 1: Loss in 3 vs Naya Dragons

Game 1 my opponent took me to two, but after setting up a turn before with an Alhammerat’s Archive I drew eight cards with two Sphinx’ Tutelage out, putting 16 triggers on the stack milling 32 cards without repeat triggers. Game two I just drew garbage and game three quickly followed suite. Just, dragon after dragon and Thunderbreak Regeant! I can’t play blue….

Round 2: Loss in 3 vs 4-Colour Aristocrats

Game 1 was in shambles. I can’t play blue. I managed to squeak out game two but I couldn’t get there in game three. Playing four colours gave him access to Rally the Ancestors while also having counter-magic. All my what.

I dropped after going to time.

So now I’m going to go watch my brother compete in the commander tournament. He is currently 1-1 playing a Phenax Mill Combo deck. He just on turn two animated a Mindleech Mass….and is now going to cast spells from his opponents hand without paying its mana cost…

That’s it for the Magic coverage tonight, I apologize for the lack of content.

I just wanted to take a moment to mention the incident that happened over the past few hours in Paris, France. Apparently a total of five terrorists attacked the city of Paris, setting off bombs killing about 140 people. We should all send our thoughts and prayers to the families of the people that were lost in this tragic incident.

I bid you a solemn good night my friends.
